Description - Fire-Resistant Locks
Standard locks do not guarantee exit at high temperatures
Locks for fireproof doors with reinforced construction have a much better performance that will help us get out of a burning room in case of trouble. These are products that serve in high-traffic areas such as public buildings. Fire door locks must have a certificate, which is an authentication of fire resistance, which are imposed by standards worldwide. Their specific design, which is based on stainless steel, allows you to evacuate people from the building in the most difficult conditions. Here you will find Assa Abloy, ECO,Cisa, ROMB, Euro-Elzett fireproof locks for external and internal doors with an insert. We always recommend completing fireproof locks and inserts of the same resistance class. Smoke-proof locks and accessories such as scantlings can have different properties.
Fire door lockshave 3 anti-panic functions B, D and E
A fire door lock with function B relies on the fact that you can leave the room at any time, but an outsider is not authorized to make full use of the handle or lever on the outside. After unlocking the door with the key, you have the option to choose whether or not you want to activate permanent operation of the handle from the outside. A fire door lock with the D function allows you to exit the room at any time regardless of whether the lock is locked or not. On the other hand, from the outside, with the lock closed, the handle is out of service. When you leave the room, the handle is permanently turned on until the lock is locked again. If, on the other hand, the lock is in the open position, there is all the time the possibility of two-way entry. The panic lock for fire doors with function E is based on the operation of the handle or knob with the whole nut. And as with the previous function - from the inside we can afford to evacuate at any time. However, from the outside it always requires turning the key in the lock to get inside the building.
