Increased fire resistance is the most important function of the fire lock. Its design allows it to be used in conditions of significantly increased temperature. Ordinary locks are not certified against excessive heat exposure, so it happens that they fail during evacuation. Lob fire locks used in public facilities are the highest form of security.
