The letter ?A? stands for paper dedicated to sanding wood and metal by hand or with power tools. The ?W? is a strong, water resistant sanding paper for working with paint, varnish and putty, useful in the automotive repair industry and in paint shops. The ?M? is suitable for hand and machine sanding of metals, softwoods with high resin content. Note that the smaller the number in the name next to the ?P?, ?A?, ?M? or ?W? letter, the larger the grain and the stronger the abrasive effect.
